With Maple Hill Farm’s history of customer service and thousands of customers and transactions, your personal/business information is safe with us. Your credit card number is NOT stored on our servers.

Maple Hill Farm - Barton, VT LLC. is a small family-owned maple farm run by Nick and Stephanie Lussier. We produce and sell maple syrup and other maple-related products.

3. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Your contact information

We collect information from you when you register on our website and/or during the checkout process on our store.

 

While you visit our website, we’ll track:

· Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed

· Location, IP address, and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping

· Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

 

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our website.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as to:

Contact forms

Certain areas of our website use contact forms in order to generate an email message directed to us. These forms capture personal data such as your name and email address so that we can respond to your inquiry. We do not use this information for marketing purposes.

 

Cookies

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart and understand and save your preferences for future visits. Business Transfers: in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the unlikely event that Maple Hill Farm – Barton, VT LLC. goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. If you leave a comment, or review, it and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments or reviews automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

 

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

If you make a purchase, we retain your billing information and order details for at least 7 years – for accounting purposes.

 

Finally, we keep Google Analytics and other tracking data indefinitely, to allow for a smooth running of our business and compare analytics trends over the years.

All registered customers may make any changes to their information at any time by logging in to the shopping cart area and going to the “My Account” page.

After a transaction, your sensitive private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.), if applicable, IS NOT stored on our servers.

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
